You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes only. Any other use, including reproduction, modification, distribution, or public display, is strictly prohibited without written consent.

You confirm you have the right to the material submitted and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.

8. Third-Party Tools and Embedded Content

Our Services may include links or integrations with third-party tools, forms, and social media platforms, including Google Ads, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Amilia, and CampusLogin. We do not control or endorse third-party content or practices and are not responsible for their terms, privacy, or security policies. You should review the policies of any linked service you choose to use.

9. Privacy, Cookies, and Tracking Technologies

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect personal and technical information in accordance with Canadian privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and equivalent provincial statutes where applicable.

We use first- and third-party cookies, pixels, and local-storage technologies to improve performance, remember preferences, personalise content, and measure advertising effectiveness. Cookies may include session identifiers, analytics tags, and ad-personalisation identifiers set by Google, Meta, LinkedIn, Microsoft Advertising, and similar providers.

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser or device settings. For details, see our integrated Cookie Policy below (section 26).

10. Advertising, Targeting, and Retargeting

We use a range of digital marketing platforms to reach prospective learners and measure campaign effectiveness. These may include Google Ads, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, LinkedIn Ads, Microsoft Advertising (Bing), programmatic display networks, and audio/video streaming placements. Our ads may appear across search engines, social networks, partner sites, YouTube, connected-TV platforms, and mobile apps.

We may use tracking technologies such as the Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Signals, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, TikTok Pixel, call-tracking numbers, and server-side tagging. These tools allow us to analyse visitor behaviour, measure conversions, and perform remarketing or look-alike audience creation. Data may include anonymised identifiers such as IP address, device ID, and general location (city-level or postal-code-level only).

To opt out of personalised advertising, you can adjust your ad-personalisation settings within Google Ad Settings, Meta Ad Preferences, or visit the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada at youradchoices.ca.

11. Electronic Communications and E-Signatures

By contacting us through our online forms, email, or chat, you consent to receive electronic communications from Academy of Learning Career College and agree that electronic signatures and records satisfy legal requirements under Canadian law. This includes notices, consents, and agreements provided electronically.

12. SMS, Calls, and CASL Compliance

We may contact you by telephone or SMS after you request information or express interest in a program. Messages may be sent by automated systems but always in compliance with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). You can withdraw consent at any time by replying “STOP” or “UNSUBSCRIBE” to text messages or by following the opt-out links in emails.

We never sell or rent phone numbers or subscriber lists. Text message data is used only for service notifications or follow-up regarding your inquiry. Carrier fees may apply according to your plan.

13. Consent Framework under CASL

When submitting a form, you may be asked to check a box to provide express consent to receive communications about programs, events, promotions, and campus updates. Express consent remains valid until withdrawn. Where implied consent applies (for example, following an inquiry or enrolment), communications will occur only within the timeframes permitted by CASL. Every message includes a clear unsubscribe mechanism.

14. Consumer Protection and Cooling-Off Rights

Each Academy of Learning Career College campus operates under its provincial regulatory framework for private career colleges. Where required by law, students have the right to cancel an enrolment contract within the statutory cooling-off period—typically within two business days in Ontario or as defined by provincial regulations. Refunds are governed by the applicable provincial consumer-protection legislation.

15. Franchise and Campus Disclosure

Academy of Learning Career College operates through a network of independently owned and operated franchisees. Each franchise campus is solely responsible for its local operations, compliance with provincial registration requirements, and the safeguarding of personal information collected directly from learners. The franchisor, LaunchLife International Inc., provides brand, curriculum, and marketing support but does not control daily campus management or local staff employment.

16. Copyright Notice and Infringement Procedure

If you believe any material on our Services infringes your copyright, please notify our Head Office in writing with: (a) your name and contact details, (b) identification of the infringing material, and (c) proof of ownership. Upon verification, infringing content will be removed promptly.

17. Service Management and Interruptions

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Services without prior notice. Scheduled maintenance or third-party platform outages may cause temporary interruptions. While we strive for high uptime, continuous availability cannot be guaranteed.

18. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services and all associated materials are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Academy of Learning Career College makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding accuracy, reliability, or completeness. We disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement to the fullest extent permitted by law.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Academy of Learning Career College, its parent company, affiliates, franchisees, officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Services. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100).

20. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Academy of Learning Career College harmless from and against all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, or your violation of any applicable law.

21. Privacy Law Applicability

Academy of Learning Career College complies with PIPEDA and all applicable provincial privacy laws, including Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act and Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector. Where a provincial law provides equal or stronger protection than PIPEDA, that law governs. We also comply with the Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and applicable consumer-protection laws in each province of operation.

22. Accessibility Compliance

We are committed to providing accessible services in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and comparable provincial accessibility standards. If you require content in an alternate format or assistance using our Services, contact our Accessibility Officer at [email protected].

23. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. The parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes in good faith for thirty (30) days before commencing legal action. Failing resolution, disputes shall be brought before the courts of Ontario, sitting in Toronto.
