Course Introduction
This course prepares the student to inspect the performance of the following components of electrical systems within residential buildings: service drops, grounding systems, service panels, wiring systems, devices and fixtures. It focuses on inspecting and reporting on the following electrical aspects of a residential dwelling: service drop, service entrance and service size; service box, grounding and panels; the distribution system. The student learns to apply knowledge of electrical concepts to inspections that focus on safety
Course Prerequisites
None.
Course Notes
Course manual provided for on-going reference. There is a final exam upon completion of the course. Participants who receive 75% or higher on their exam will receive a certificate.

Course aim: To familiarize the student with procedures involved in performing electrical inspection of homes.
Method of Delivery: Learning supported by a qualified off-site instructor; students are provided with course content that includes all of the required courseware, and are supported by a live technical instructor during regular business hours. Students have access to an instructor via e-mail outside of regular business hours.
