Early Childhood Education - New Brunswick

The objective of the Early Childhood Education program is to provide students with the skills and abilities needed to pursue employment as an early childhood educator. Graduates of this program will partake in an in-depth exploration of child development, foundations of child care, literacy, science, and math learning, teaching through the arts, health and nutrition, program development, and children with exceptionalities.

Admission Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent or Mature Student status. Certain applicants may be required to participate in proficiency testing and/or academic upgrading as a condition of acceptance to this program. Applicants are advised they will be required to provide a Criminal Record Check before entering the practicum experience component of the program. A Criminal Record Check and a Prior Record Check from the Department of Social Development may also be required for employment. *Not all programs are offered at each location.
