Course Introduction

In this course, the student will develop an understanding of how to communicate the inspection process in writing and verbally. The course provides an overview of characteristics of a good home inspector, including appropriate vehicles, clothing, and tools deemed fit for this job. The student will learn the history of home inspection in America, and the responsibilities of home inspectors. The course discusses liability issues faced by home inspectors, how home inspectors should communicate appropriately with clients, and the barriers to effective communication. Techniques for overcoming communication barriers and improving overall communication are also covered.

Course Notes

Course manual provided for on-going reference. There is a final exam upon completion of the course. Participants who receive 75% or higher on their exam will receive a certificate.
