Microsoft Windows 7 – Level 1 Courses
Microsoft Windows 7 Course Introduction
Windows 7 Level 1 course provides an overview and introduction to the Microsoft Windows 7 operating system (Professional Edition).
Students will learn the basic concepts and most commonly used features and functions of Windows 7. They will learn the fundamentals of the Windows 7 operating system along with how to locate important system information, set up, manage, and remove user accounts, and also examine the Desktop and view files on the computer using Windows Explorer. Students will learn how to manage folders and files, how to personalize the Windows 7 environment and examine the methods of updating and protecting a computer.
In addition, students will learn how to use the basic communication and utility programs included with Windows 7. They will also learn how to install software programs, set default programs, configure a program to start automatically and uninstall programs.
This course consists of six lessons, and an Exam Preparation Exercise. The Exam Preparation Exercise is designed to prepare the student for the final exam.
Course Prerequisite(s)
Introduction to Personal Computers course, or a general knowledge of computers.

This introductory course is designed to acquaint students with the fundamentals of Windows 7.
Of Interest to
Those who have knowledge of an earlier version of Windows operating system and wish to upgrade to Windows 7, or who have never used a Windows operating system.

There is a final exam upon completion of the course. Participants who receive 75% or higher on their exam will receive a certificate.
