Insurance Courses
Insurance courses at Academy of Learning College introduce students to the vocabulary, licensing requirements and electronic processes necessary for developing rewarding careers in the insurance industry. These courses will present the concepts and practices used by insurance professionals in sales, service, marketing, claims, and underwriting.
Instructors will compare coverages and exclusions for various insurance policies and guide students through policy interpretation, providing quotes, and calculating home evaluations. Students will gain hands-on business training with the most commonly used insurance database in Canada, learning how to rate a policy and convert quotes into actual application forms.
Interactive learning processes, role-playing and practice exercises reinforce concepts and help students measure their progress by applying their technical knowledge to real-world situations. Courses will prepare students for the Level 1 Insurance License exam through the local Provincial Insurance Council.
