Building Your Home Inspection Business Course Introduction
In this course, the student will get an understanding of how to communicate the inspection process in writing and verbally. The course gives the student an overview of characteristics of a good home inspector, including appropriate vehicles, clothing, and tools deemed fit for this job. The student will learn the history of home inspection in America, and the responsibilities of home inspectors. The course discusses liability issues faced by home inspectors, how home inspectors should communicate appropriately with clients, and the barriers to effective communication. Techniques for overcoming communication barriers and improving overall communication are also covered.

To familiarize the student with building a home inspection business.
Of Interest to
Individuals interested in pursuing a career as home inspectors, in a home inspection firm, starting their own home inspection business, or owning a franchise, and furthering their knowledge of building a home inspection business.
Course Notes
Students receive resource material for this course. There are two tests to evaluate student progres. Participants who receive 75% or higher overall will receive a certificate.
Method of Delivery
Learning supported by a qualified off-site instructor; students are provided with course content that includes all of the required courseware, and are supported by a live technical instructor during regular business hours. Students have access to an instructor via e-mail outside of regular business hours.
