Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Administration

This course provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage the overall IT environment and architecture.

Student will learn how to plan, manage, and design the IP addressing scheme and name resolution strategy, network access strategy, design network access policies, remote access strategy, Active Directory physical topology and administrative model, plan for domain or forest migration, upgrade, and restructuring, design data management and data access, including data security, data accessibility and redundancy, and data collaboration within Windows Server 2008.

Course Prerequisite(s)

Students should have successfully completed the Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Configuring Active Directory (SSMS640), Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Configuring Network Infrastructure (SSMS642), and Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Configuring Applications Infrastructure (SSMS643) courses or passed the Microsoft 70-640: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuring, Microsoft 70-642: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure, Configuring, and Microsoft 70-643: Windows Server 2008 Applications Infrastructure, Configuring certification exams.
