Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA)
The Microsoft Certified Database Administrator credential is the premier certification for professionals who implement and administer Microsoft SQL Server databases.

Career Opportunities
The MCDBA designation is appropriate for individuals who derive physical database designs, develop logical data models, create physical database, create data services by using Transact-SQL, manage and maintain database, monitor and optimize databases, and install and configure Microsoft SQL Server.

Duties & Responsibilities
Database professionals are recognized for participating in conceptual and logical data modeling, physical design, and implementation, maintenance and support of databases. Individuals may be required to perform the following tasks:
  • Implement, administer, and troubleshoot information systems that incorporate Microsoft Windows Server 2003.
  • Administer and troubleshoot information systems that incorporate Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition.
  • Design and implement database solutions by using Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition.
