Academy of Learning was founded in 1987 as an international organization specializing in computer and business skills training for adult learners. Since then, more than 100 franchised colleges have opened worldwide. In addition to Canada, licenses have been granted in the USA, Australia, Saudi Arabia and the West Indies. In Canada, our colleges are located in the Northwest Territories and eight provinces, from Halifax on the Atlantic shore to Victoria on the Pacific.

The first Academy of Learning college was opened in early 1987 in Thornhill, Ontario. The company expanded westward to British Columbia in 1990. Since then, colleges have opened in PEI, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and the Northwest Territories.
