Learning Strategies (Teacher Assistant)
This module is designed to cover the fundamental principles of physical, cognitive, language and personal development. This module will cover the three different styles of learning which are visual, auditory and kinesthetic. Students will analyze the dominant culture of schools and how this effects multicultural education. Students will learn how to implement culturally relevant teaching and will recognize discrimination based on class, race, age, gender, sexuality and disability. It will analyze the critical attributes of a lesson plan. Students will be able to apply their theoretical knowledge of learning styles and multiple intelligences to the lesson planning process. They will then practice developing lesson plans on topics of their choice.
