Clinical Procedures for Medical Office Assistants
This course allows the future medical office assistant the skill and ability to meet employer expectations of basic, routine clinical procedures, including taking and recording patients’ vital signs, as well as completion of 20 lab reports, basic lab tests (urinalysis, pregnancy testing), assisting the physician with slings, bandaging and splints, basic first aid and CPR.
Additionally, students will understand the importance of, and practice related to, W.H.M.I.S. procedures and Universal Precautions.
