Clinical Placement / Practicum
Clinical Placement / Practicum, also referred to as Clinical Preceptorship, Worksite Experience, or Clinical Externship, is a critical training component for students in any healthcare services program.
This is the period of time when students are placed in a real workplace environment and given a chance to apply some of the skills learned during the program.
Course Prerequisite(s)
Prior to starting the Clinical Placement / Practicum students must successfully complete all ILS and medical courses within the Medical Office Assistant program, in addition to adhering to all policies outlined in the Clinical Placement Meeting.
